JAWS patch
Well, Jordi and I started hacking today on Planet. He gave me some moral support while coding on Python, language that I really do not know perfectly.
He worked on the JAWS code, to see why they reported as 00 hours on their RSS feeds.
So, here is the important thing: If you are using JAWS, and are syndicated on PlanetaLinux, you probably should see that sometimes your feed is not well synchronized, that is because of that bug.
You should visit Jordi’s website in order to apply the patch, it is just replacing a line.
Yet Another Planet Test
Well, here I am writing for another test. This test is for the time correct support.
I’m writing this on Sunday Oct 17th, 4:47 PM, Mexico City time.
Hope this works. ![]()
Wal*Mart
Recently there has been intentions from Wal-Mart of building their supermarkets in places that people do not want them to be built.
The first and direct example is Wal-Mart in Teotihuacan, which is an archaelogical city in Mexico:
Fight over Wal-Mart on Mexico ruins
.
And, in Baghdad too:
Stop that madness!
Again…
And continuing with the pictures stuff. Here I found a very nice photograph of a couple of lancheros from Acapulco, bathing in the beach, relaxing from the microbusero work.
Probably doing the only thing they know: Complain and get drunk.
Aren’t they cute? ![]()
Miada…
When you are in a hurry, what you need is a… miada!
Comics.com
Being this a culture of consumption and me being a weak creature of nature, I just got a brand new Gold Suscription on Comics.com home of the awarded dilbert and snoopy, but besides, there are plenty of great new artists waiting for us to watch, at least their work.
If you like amateur comics (everything but dilbert and peanuts in comics.com is amateur), you will probably love to give a try at comics.com. I used to have a free account receiving one strip from Monday to Saturday on my email (with the suscription I’m receiving now up to 70 strips
and other small advantages).
Some of the best, IMO, are Shirley and Son, PC and Pixel, The Born Loser and Zack Hill, although I have not checked all the titles on the archive.
This post is not in English
Sorry, I’m writing this post in Spanish, for the kids from PlanetaLinux.

Encoding
I’ve been fighting against the bad encoding at PlanetaLinux. I’ve finally got a correct parsing against JAWS users, but not for Blogger users. Wouldn’t it be easier if all of us used UTF-8 or so?
I’m not releasing PlanetaLinux until I solve those encoding problems and fix the time stuff.
PlanetaLinux
Well, Wieland and me have created PlanetaLinux which is a small planet feed reeder for Mexican Linux users. It is intended to grow as soon as we announce it officially.
I’ve worked on the art/configuration, we still have some problems because the five people now suscribed to the planet use jaws which have a little encoding problem.
Feedback is very welcome.
Almost ready
I spent the entire weekend sick in bed. Until today I went to see a doctor, and he gave me some medications, feeling better now.
And since I already missed friday and today, monday, of school, it would be unforgivable to miss tomorrow too.
